New Mexico's Tax-Free Weekend: August 4th through August 6th

The New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department has announced a Gross Receipts Tax Holiday aimed at assisting families in reducing their back-to-school expenses. This tax holiday will be effective from 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, and will run until midnight on Sunday, August 6, 2023. During this period, certain items will be exempt from sales tax, including:

Clothing priced below $100 per item (with some exceptions)
Computers sold for a maximum of $1,000
Computer equipment priced at a maximum of $500
School supplies costing less than $30 per item (with some exceptions)
